Great Plains is a conservation organisation which manages a number of its own pristine wildlife reserves in Botswana and Kenya with superb personalised lodges, luxury tented camps and mobile operations.
Our current camps include:
BOTSWANA
-Zarafa Camp, Botswana's first Relais & Chateaux member property, is a 4 bedroom premier tented camp overlooking the floodplains of the Zibadianja Lagoon offering unsurpassed game viewing experiences in the 320 000 acre Selinda Reserve of Botswana.
-Selinda Camp, a 9 bedroom luxury camp fronting the eastern Selinda Spillway.
-Selinda Explorers Camp, opened in August 2012, is a 4 tent exclusive-use camp in the middle stretches of the Selinda Spillway with a focus on walking, fishing and canoeing activities (subject to water levels).
-Selinda Canoe Trail, 4 days/3 nights Selinda Canoe Trail journeying along a 45km stretch of the Selinda Spillway between April and October each year whilst the Spillway continues to flow.
-Duba Plains, in the heart of Botswana's Okavango Delta, was acquired in May 2010 by Great Plains and offers night and day game drives, and boating in prime lion and buffalo country.
KENYA
- ol Donyo Lodge, the first Relais & Chateaux member property in Kenya, set in 275 000 acres of privacy bordering the Chyulu Hills National Park with amazing views toward Kilimanjaro
- Ride Kenya mobile horse safaris, based at ol Donyo Lodge stables. Set 7 or 8 day departures in the Chyulu Hills or Amboseli National Park, as well as private tailor-made departures.
-Mara Plains Camp, set in the private Olare Orok Conservancy (OOC) bordering the northern boundry of the Masai Mara, offering day and night drives in the OOC and Mara North conservancies in addition to game drives in the Masai Mara.
-Mara Toto Camp, new for January 2013 is a 5 tent authentic bush camp located close to Mara Plains on the Ntiatiatek River with access to the Masai Mara and Mara North Conservancy.
SOUTH AFRICA
