Written by
Emirates has announced that it is increasing its flights between Luanda, Angola, and Dubai. As of July 1, the airline will fly between the two cities five times a week; and will increase this to daily flights later this year in line with the northern hemisphere winter schedule.

The announcement comes after British Airways announced in May that it was cancelling its Luanda flights.

The flights will be operated by a Boeing 777-300ER which offers 360 seats. Flights will operate on Sunday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday initially, increasing to daily flights in line with the northern hemisphere winter schedule.

The flight schedule from July 1 is as follows:
  • EK793 departs Dubai at 09h55, arriving in Luanda at 14h40.
  • EK794 departs Luanda at 18h15, arriving in Dubai at 05h00 the following day.
The daily service will operate as follows:
  • EK793 departs Dubai at 10h10, arriving in Luanda at 15h10.
  • EK794 departs Luanda at 18h15, arriving in Dubai at 04h55 the following day.
Emirates Senior Vice President of Commercial Operations for Africa, Orhan Abbas concludes: “As a country rich in resources, Angola has a lot to offer.”
